Name: Beau
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Male
Age: 2.5 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Selective
Kids: Yes
Hi there, my name is Beau and I am 2.5 years old. I am here seeking a home that will let me be inside or outside as I see fit. I need a fenced in yard please as I am an escape artist and have previously been hit by a car (thankfully, I am ok!).
I am a pretty typical husky! I am very smart, and am not overly treat motivated. I do know some basic commands, but need to work on my leash walking skills and my recall. Being a smart boy though, it should be fairly easy to train me once you figure out ways to work around my intelligence and stubbornness. I would love to learn under your guidance, and possibly the guidance of a trainer.
I am house-trained and crate trained! I typically eat my breakfast and my dinner in my crate. My 3 sisters and I do not share food bowls, so I am not sure how I would be if that was asked of me. I don’t show any sign of food aggression while outside, so I might be able to adapt to that in time. I do like to dig holes when I am outside, and am destructive if left alone inside the house and not in a crate.
I live with 3 female dogs, and have not been interacted with any male dogs, so I have no idea how I would be with a male dog. A meet and greet would be required with any prospective new family pets to ensure we get along. Please, no cats. I live with children and am good with them, so I can be with children!
I currently live as an indoor/outdoor dog, and my family believes I would thrive best in this type of arrangement. I am inside at night, and in a barn during the work day. I then get time in the yard to run around with the other dogs, or inside the house if it is not a work day. I think with a bit of adjustment, and enough exercise, I could adapt to full-time house life, though!
If you think you are able to provide a stimulating environment for a husky, please apply for me today!
I am neutered and up to date on all of my vaccinations. My adopter will be provided with an already registered microchip to have inserted by their veterinarian as I am not yet microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!

Name: Comet
Breed: Siberian Husky Mix
Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years
Dogs: Yes - selective - MANDATORY
Cats: Maybe
Kids: No
Hi there, my name is Comet. I am estimated to be around 2 years old. I am here seeking a specific home that is willing and able to put in the work required. I have come a long way already, but I need more time to be fully social with new humans! An existing female dog in my new home is MANDATORY.
I would do best in a home with a female dog that understands, tolerates, and likes to engage in rough play as that is all I know. As I have been settling into my temporary placement, I have made it apparent that I am not a huge fan of male dogs - likely because they mistake my play style as aggression. I really gravitate towards other dogs as they give me a sense of security and familiarity. I have come so, so far in the last 9 months because of them! I have also developed a love for toys, and can keep myself entertained for hours with squeaky toys! It really is adorable to watch me entertain myself! It is actually sort of a fetish now as I feel the trifling need to snag a toy, or a shoe, the rug, anything on my way by, and then play a game of keep away with it! I am learning the drop-it command, and am fine with things being taken out of my mouth as well.
I do not believe I am aggressive towards humans, but I would likely defend myself if pushed too far. I was a very good boy for my microchipping, and as much as I was not a fan of my first bath and groom, I did well all things considered. I used to try to avoid humans at all costs, but now I do more of a stranger-danger freeze before I proceed with new humans. I have really come so far! Due to my fear and desire to escape, a home without children is required. I have not met the cat up close, but I have seen her from a distance and I am not sure how I would be with her. I am curious about the litter of puppies in my house, and stop to sniff them through the barrier with good body language, however, I have not met them without a barrier as foster mom is nervous I may grab them with my tendency to snatch toys, rugs, shoes, etc. On my way by.
I am house and crate trained. I will even go to my crate on my own sometimes, and am learning to do so on command now as well. I may need a crate in the room with my humans on occasion at first while settling as this was required when I first arrived here.
As I will actively try to escape at any point in time initially, it is absolutely imperative that I be leashed at all times both inside and outside, for at least several weeks. While I am now free in the fenced yard, it has taken 6-weeks of building trust and settling in before I earned my freedom. I need somoene that will be very diligent at keeping me safe and leashed so that I do not end up a stray again. I have shown that I can jump a 5ft fence if I really want to. I do absolutely love ATV’s, so having one is an asset if you have a yard and I happen to escape!
I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!

Name: Finnegan
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Age: 2.5 years
Sex: Male
Cats: Maybe
Dogs:Yes-female
Kids: No
Hi everyone! My name is Finnegan, or Finn for short, and l am a bright-eyed and bushy tailed sweetheart.I love to be around people and get lots of attention and give it back! I am medium sized,60 lbs. .I am seeking a very active forever home!
I need a lot of exercise, but afterwards, I am pretty good about settling down if you are working or go out. I just rest up quietly and watch out in case you move a muscle, because then I am right there to see what you are doing! But then I’ll settle down again if nothing is happening.
Although watch out when you let me out of my crate, because l am going to race around and bounce up and down and act crazy for a bit!
l love going on walks and runs and am learning not to pull, although I do get excited by other dogs and will sometimes bark or jump a bit. But I'm learning that my foster mom will give me a treat if I walk nicely past, so l am starting to just look for that instead! I don't worry at all about bikes, cars, street cars, city noises, so I would be fine in a busy place once l learn to walk nicely. I also would love to be a running companion. My foster mom says I run better than my foster siblings because I don't stop to try and pick up garbage! Running tires me out more, but l am good with just walking too,and as long as I get some good mileage in the morning and late afternoon,I'm pretty calm after a play session with my sister.(Okay, maybe a fairly long play session).
l love to play with my foster sister, we run around chasing each other or just wrestle. I sometimes get a little rough and she tells me off and then I argue with her, but we get over it pretty fast. I am not as sure about my foster brother, and l am a little bit more protective of food and toys (and my foster mom) around him, but I am okay with my sister. With my foster parents, I am not possessive at all, although I haven't been trained to release things, but I give them up and l am learning to do it on command.
I am house trained and crate trained. I also know sit and down, but I generally need some treat encouragement, and I have trouble concentrating on commands when I am excited and especially outside when there is so much going on. But,my foster mom says I am really trainable!
I haven't met any kids up close, but I don't react to them. However, when I greet people l am really excited. Unfortunately, I now have a bite history over being corrected/restrained in the home that returned me, so I cannot be with young kids. Older kids may be considered on a case-by-case basis. I don’t try to escape the yard, the crate or dig holes in the yard. I have stolen some food off the counter, so I need to be watched in the kitchen. I'm pretty well behaved, just really really energetic! I do take the opportunity to dart out the door, though! With the proper exercise, I will stop trying to dart out the door as well. Exercise, exercise, exercise!
l am curious, and loving and really want to be a part of a family. I would make a wonderful addition to a loving (but active)home.
l am neutered and microchipped. I am ready to go home immediately!

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED
Hello Melissa,
I hope you have been doing well. I am reaching out from the **** regarding a dog in our care named Garnett. Garnett was found as a stray and although he was microchipped, we were never able to make contact with his owners despite many attempts. He is approximately 9 months old (this age was on his microchip), and is intact. He is UTD on bordatella and rabies.
Garnett is friendly with strangers and does well with female dogs, however he can be picky with males. The reason we are looking for placement and not putting him up on our adoption floor is because during his SAFER test and the resource guarding portion, he did freeze significantly at the bowl when we went to remove it and growled. We did not push him past this point and he recovered quickly once finishing the bowl of food and re-engaged in his friendly, playful manner.
He is such a young, beautiful dog so we are hoping a rescue is able to step up and help him.
Thank you so much for any help you can provide and please let me know if you have any questions.
Name: Jagger
Breed: Siberian Husky x Collie
Sex: Male
Age: 11 years old
Cats: No
Dogs: No
Kids: No
Well, hello there. My name is Jagger, and I am a Husky x Collie. I am in need of an experienced home where I am the only pet, and ideally a rural setting where there are not a lot of interactions with other animals.
I am not an escape artist, and I am house trained. I am also used to being able to be both indoors and outdoors in an enclosed space, of course. I am looking for my perfect forever family. Once I am bonded to you, I am very loving and loyal to my person.
I need a home with someone who can take me for a good walk or two and play with me. I am an older guy, but still need my exercise. I am incredibly smart and willing to learn and please. I do need someone who can commit time and energy to me and my training. Someone who can read and understands body language would be the most ideal as well. I love to lay on my doggie bed after I have had my daily exercise and just chill out. I do like to bark, so no attached housing please! I do have some important other quirks we need to discuss.
I will go after animals without provocation due to my dog reactivity. This has, unfortunately, resulted in many bites to humans due to redirecting when I am reached for. I also have handling sensitivities around my hips, which can lead to a bite if you don’t read and respond to my warning signs appropriately. I am very good at being muzzled for my medicated baths and just any type of restraint/handling that needs to be done. However, like anything else, that requires a trust bond first. Please, no kids, dogs or cats in my home. I did make a doggie-friend, but only when outside in the yard. I have massive resourse guarding, and will go after my friend or any human when I have smething, so please give me space when I am eating or have a chew.
I am very food driven, but am gentle about taking my food. I catch on to routine quickly and am very smart! I do need to work on my leash walking manners, and I need to learn not to jump up on people and stick my dewclaws in their legs. With the right person, I will be an amazing addition to an active home! As you can see by my coat, I do have an autoimmune condition and seasonal as well as dietary allergies. I do best on a brand called Forza-10, or a raw meat diet.
I am neutered and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you now!

Name: Maverick
Breed: Siberian Husky Mix
Sex: Male
Age: 3.5 Years
Dogs: No
Cats: No
Kids: Yes, older
Hello Everyone! I am Maverick!. I am estimated to be about 3.5 years old. I am here seeking an experienced and secure home. I would be ok in just about any home environment as long as my owner is observant and cautious. I am looking to be the single-pet in your home.
Aren’t my ears just the cutest things you’ve ever seen? I think so! Along with my small size, at roughly 20kg, I am just adorable. I am also mostly well-mannered at home, which is a huge bonus. I have learned a lot of basic commands with my foster family, and have also been house and crate trained. I am treat motivated, so training me and continuing my training is fairly easy as well. I love to go for drives, and even walk well on leash. I can sometimes be grumbly when I am disturbed while sleeping, but aren’t you, too? I would be best with older kids that would have more dog-knowledge to not disturb a dog while it’s sleeping, eating, drinking, pottying, etc.
I am lower energy than most huskies, so I would be fine in a less active home as long as my training is continued. I walk well on the leash and have been to many crowded adoption events and done well! As a smaller, lower-energy boy, I would be fine in attached housing, or a home with a securely fenced yard. I do not try to jump, climb, or dig out, but will take an opportunity that is visible, such as an open gate, a gap, or an open door. Pretty typical husky-stuff! Despite my small size, I still require a firm owner. Perhaps an older, former malamute owner, would be great for me as I am smaller, but need that firmness.
While I do live with 2 dogs in my current foster home, I am not the greatest with other dogs and this took a lot of time and training from my foster. I also absolutely cannot live with small dogs or cats. Unfortunately, I was involved in the fatal injury of a small dog, in partnership with another dog, when a gate was left open at my foster home and got myself into some very serious legal trouble. I would ideally move out of my municipality ASAP as I am required to be muzzled any time I am outside here and am not permitted to go on walks, and that is no way to live long-term I should be muzzled on walks now regardless of where I live as a precaution, but I am fine with that!
I wish someone would look past my flaws and give me a chance! I know I am a good boy in the right hands and environment. Even before my incident, no one gave me a chance. That makes me so sad, as I know it will be even harder to find a willing candidate now!
I am neutered, up to date on rabies vaccination and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!

Name: Poncho
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Age: 3 years
Sex: Male
Cats: No
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes, older - see description
Hello! I am Poncho and I am now a two year old super sweet and friendly husky mix boy that’s still filled with lots of puppy energy. I am so special that I have two different colour eyes (heterochromia) - one blue and one brown. I am a tall guy but still very lean, weighing approximately just over 60 lbs. I am here seeking an active forever home where someone is home more often than not.
I enjoy going on walks and I get excited when I pass other dogs and humans, I want to say hi to everyone! I am still learning leash manners and like to pull but when it is just me and my foster mom I pull a lot less than when my foster sister (dog) comes along too. When she is with me, I want to lead the group and get in front. I sometimes get excited when I see squirrels and other animals and I pull toward them.
I also enjoy running around in the backyard and playing with my dog toys. Sometimes my foster sister joins me in playtime and I love playing with her!! However, I do play a little bit rough with her and like to use my mouth a lot. I really like to wrestle and I sometimes bodycheck her and shove my head under her belly to lift her up. She has lots of patience for my crazy play but some dogs may not like it. Sometimes I don’t understand when she wants play to be over so my foster mom has to remind me to leave her alone.
When it comes to my crate, I get so happy when I am let out of the crate but sad when I’m put in it. Sometimes it takes many yummy treats and some time (and patience for my foster mom), until I go inside it. I will cry, and sometimes but rarely, bark, when I first get in but I do eventually settle down and sleep. I am still in the process of learning to like my crate but I definitely rather be outside of it sleeping on my dog bed or floor than inside of it. I am a smarty pants and have already learned to escape my crate. My foster mom had to put zip ties around the wires to make sure I can’t escape again. Once I escaped, I only tore apart some of a cardboard box and didn’t get into or chew anything else in the room.
I am fully potty trained and I know the basic commands of Sit and Paw. I sometimes come when I am called. I am still learning the words Down and learning (and doing well at it) to have patience and to wait, when doors are being open or when I am being fed or given treats. My foster mom thinks I am a very very sweet boy. I love pets from her and when she stops petting me, I like to gently remind her that I am still there by giving her my paw. I am a little love bug and love to be around the humans. I have tried to go on her bed but when she told me off and redirected me, I was okay with hanging out on the floor. Sometimes I talk back to my foster dad and give him a whole husky spiel when he tries to tell me what to do. I guess I like to argue with words sometimes.
I have met kids since being with my foster family, and I am good with them. It is important to note however that with my anxiety in new situations, I can get mouthy.Caution needs to be exercised when introducing me to new people/things for the first hour or so until I have gotten my wits about me and calmed down. I am very very energetic and still working on my manners, so older kids would be best please so that I don’t accidentally knock little ones down. I have lots to offer but also still have learning to do and I can’t wait to do that with my new forever family.
I am neutered and microchipped. I am ready to go home!

Name: Shadow
Breed: Siberian Husky x Alaskan Malamute
Sex: Male
Age: 8 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Selective
Kids: No
Hi there, I’m Shadow and I am about 8 years old. I am seeking an experienced forever home, so please read carefully. I am said to be a Siberian Husky, but I have a lot of Malamute traits, so, I must be a mix of the two!
I am a very easy boy in a lot of ways, but I so have some strange triggers that make me need someone experienced. Within my foster home that I had for 2 years, I grew immensely. We established an understanding of what I need to avoid these strange triggers. For example, I do not like it when you use your hand to wipe the floor or start to clean. I much prefer to be safe in a closed room while the cleaning is completed. The same applies to brooms, vacuums, lint rollers, etc.
I find comfort in routine and love to go for long walks so I can explore. I also live for car rides. Any time I can jump in I will show you to the car! I am crate trained, house trained, and muzzled trained. I am not good with children or cats as they are unpredictable. I can be quite reactive on the leash with other dogs and need a pet-free home please. I do seem to love all people and will greet everyone as a friend. I enjoy being petted. I do not, however, appreciate being approached by children when I am in my crate. I am highly food motivated and I will do just about anything for food. I even try to anticipate in hopes of pleasing someone just enough to indulge in a treat. However, due to my odd triggers, I need a child-free home please! I can also get a bit agitated if I need something and it isn’t immediately available to me, such as potty and dinner time.
I know my basic obedience commands and am excellent at waving to you to get your attention. I used to be a sled dog, but I am not a fan of that job and have adapted very well to pet life. I am a sweet boy; you just need to work around my quirks and understand me. How am I still in rescue after over 3 years?! I had the same foster for 2 years, an adopter for a week, and am now in boarding. I was too dog-reactive and strong on the leash for my adopter and pulled him down, injuring his knee. I am not a huge fan of grooming and will get snappy during the drying process, so please make sure my groomer is experienced and prepared with a muzzle.
I am neutered and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!

Name: Spencer
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Male
Age: 6.5 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Selective
Kids: No
Hi there, I’m Spencer and I am about 6.5 years old. I am seeking an experienced forever home with a fence at least 5ft high, so please read carefully. I need exercise, structure, rules and training, so please be prepared to give me what I need! My forever home must have experience with resource guarding.
I have the most expressive ears! My ears are always moving up and down and begging for you to give me any attention at all! Even just talking to me makes me a happy little boy. I will also lean in for cuddles and snuggles once I know you. It is extremely important to never fully trust me though, even though I am sweet and want your affection. I warm up to new people quickly, but can be stand-offish and/or growl initially if meeting through a fence. I have bitten on a first introduction once, and I need to be with a very understanding and experienced person. I am more oriented towards women, but have accepted a couple men.
I found myself in the shelter due to guarding strange people from entering my previous home, but only from the front door. In the shelter, I showed no guarding issues of this sort and was even fine with meeting dogs through my kennel. However, here in boarding, I have growled and lunged at every human that has approached my kennel. When I am outside of my kennel, I am a lot less reactive, but have snapped/lunged. A meet and greet will be required if I am to live with other dogs. I have a high prey drive for the cat, so no cats please! I cannot be with children! My meet and greet with humans will be muzzled as well.
I did spend 2 months in an apartment and can do it again if I get adequate exercise! I give lots of warning if you know how to read me, but not everyone can. As a result, I have bitten multiple people now. I have been returned twice now for biting Please be patient and understanding so that I am not returned again! I excite very easily, which is why I have little inhibition to not use my mouth. If I have a bone in my mouth, I will growl and turn away so you cannot take it from me. I love my dinner so much that I bounce up and down until I am served, and will guard it while I am eating. I will sit for a moment before my dinner bowl heads towards the floor, and am working on sitting longer before being fed. I am not good on a tether as I tangle myself a lot, and will bite when you are trying to help me in my panic.
I cannot emphasize enough that I need a special, experienced, and dedicated person to help me through my reactivity and guarding behaviours. Once we have a trust and understanding, I am a great boy! However, it is likely to be a rough go for the first few weeks as we establish routine and boundaries. I am one of the more difficult dogs at the rescue and have been looking for a home for over 4.5 years now!
I am neutered and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!

Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Sex: Male
Age: 6.5 years
Cats: No
Dogs: Maybe
Kids: No
Hi there, I’m Storm and I am roughly 6.5 years old. I am seeking an experienced home that understands that I cannot be physically restrained and also resource guarding behaviour. I am not a cuddly “furbaby”, and need someone that understands this and we can have mutual respect.
When I moved into my last family, I was allowed on the couch and in the bed, but they realized that when it's time for me to move away, I don't like to give space and can be challenging. Therefore, I am not allowed on those anymore. On a day to day basis, I am a really easy dog. I do not require lots of exercise, and as long as I got my daily walk, I am happy! If it's time for my walk and you forget me, I will make sure you know with my own language that I need to go outside and explore!
I like to play ball and I love tug of war, especially outside in the snow! Be ready; I don't let go!! I am also ok being outside by myself. I like to howl and will be incredibly loud and reactive to a passing cat, squirrel, etc. I am a really smart dog. I do obey basic obedience commands, and have even learned to sit pretty. I will anticipate everything you are going to ask from me for some treats or peanut butter At first I might be distant, but as soon as I get to know and trust you, I become an affectionate dog. I love belly rubs too.
I have bitten several times I dislike children and cats, and I am a resource guarder. I will bite if I feel you are taking my stuff, or stuff I perceive as mine. I like to hide toys in places like the couch, and if you unknowingly go for it, I will bite you. I am sorry, but it is mine! I have also bitten a good samaritan who caught me by my collar when I door dashed out of my previous adoptive home. If you can read dog body language, it is easier to determine when certain handing, like collar grabbing/holding, will become an issue. I am otherwise good for light petting/handling. I am not good for baths/full grooming. My coat is pretty good at shedding out fully on it’s own without intervention.
I tried to see a veterinarian, and I was not having any part of that. I got sent home without being examined because I was anxious, uncomfortable, and acting aggressively. I need to be muzzle trained before I see a veterinarian again. I am absolutely not a fan of restraint of any kind, and am very skeptical of a muzzle coming near my face, especially when you try to do it up! I escalate quickly! Like I said, I am smart! I need more positive associations with the muzzle. Having it hanging on my leash when on walks should help with this. I pull hard on leash, so need more training with this as well. I am a lot better about being leashed now!
I have not been well-socialized with other dogs in the past, and as a result, I would do best without another dog until I am more settled, trained, and we have established a connection.
I am neutered and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!

Hi, my name is Timber,
Neutered Male
Husky x German Shepherd Mix
approx. 5 years old
I'm a delightful pup brimming with love and charm. Currently, I am one of the longest term residents at the Georgina Animal Shelter, eagerly awaiting my forever home. When I first arrived, I was anxious, scared, and showed signs of resource guarding. However, I've made remarkable progress and have grown a lot over the past year. I'm your typical fun loving dog who enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's smelling the lovely flowers or catching snowflakes. Lately, I've also shown a growing interest in playing with other dogs and showering everyone I meet with big, affectionate face kisses.
In February, I will participate in a three week board and train program with a well known local trainer in Georgina. During this time, we are able to facilitate meet & greets with those interested & approved. Given my background, I would thrive in a home that understands resource guarding and is committed to continuing training to help me improve. “
Background History: Timber came to the shelter originally as a stray, his owners were located, and they ended up surrendering him as they were not able to take him back in their care due to financial reasons. Timber spent a lot of time during the day laying in the front yard tethered to a tree as he was a flight risk, and they did not have a fenced in yard. Timber has been around children ages 6-11 years old there was also a cat in the home that he did well with however he did chase it at times. Due to his known behaviour and what he has exhibited at the shelter we believe that Timber would be bested suited in a home with older children and no other animals as he does a high prey drive. Timber loves to spend the majority of his time outdoors enjoying the summer breeze and basking in the sun.

Hey there, I’m the super adorable Tobi! I was born on October 13 2016. I am here seeking a very experienced forever home, so please read carefully. I have been in care for 6.5 years as I have a lot of quirks despite how adorable I am!
When I am out in public with foster mom, I am always wearing my basket muzzle. When I am in my muzzle in public, I love to receive all sorts of affection, belly rubs, and cuddles. I feel secure and safe in my muzzle, however when I am not muzzled, I am know I am not trustworthy and I make poor decisions.
I have a 2-time bite history that required stitches over rough handling and restraint. However, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I am quite an interesting boy and my new person will need to learn my cues and listen to rescue advice on how to best handle me in different situations. I am very hard to read behaviour-wise, and I am a protector. Once I form a bond with my person, that person will never have to fear wrong-doing from anyone so long as I am with my person.
I know my basic obedience commands such as sit, down and come and I enjoy doing obedience with my foster mom. However, I can get a bit too worked up during our training sessions and get into a state where I need to be shut down or redirected before I escalate to a bite.
I am dog-friendly with most dogs, but some dogs just rub me the wrong way. A meet and greet will be required before I can go home with you for many reasons. Maybe even several meet and greets depending on how the first one goes. Any parties interested in me MUST be receptive to advice and be gentle with me as I do NOT respond well to reprimand or raised voices at all!
I have SEVERE resource guarding and my human absolutely MUST have experience with this and know how to safely redirect me to avoid serious issues. Foster mom has had me 6.5 years, and is still very nervous when I guard something randomly. I don’t think I will ever learn that I do not need to guard. It is just something that has to be managed.
I am neutered and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!

Name: Wilson
Breed: Siberian Husky X
Sex: Male
Age: 7 years
Cats: No - untested
Dogs: Yes - submissive only
Kids: No
Hi there, the name is Wilson! I am described as a loyal, loving and affectionate boy and I am looking for a forever home without small kids. Wilson will do well in a household with experience understanding dogs that were previously abused due to his experience when he was younger.
I love going for walks, or any kind of adventure with my human. Car rides, walk, jog, snowshoe, hike? I will happily go with you! I adore human companionship and love people once the trust is built between us. I am leary of new people sometimes, in particular men. I was a very scared and timid dog, however I have come a long way since my current family rescued me from Northern Ontario in 2018. Once I trust you, I am the sweetest most affectionate, endearing and empathetic dog you will ever meet.
However, I am known to panic when people approach me too quickly and energetically. It is suggested to introduce me to new people at a slow pace and with care as I still have fear based triggers from my earlier life. I do have 1 bite history previously as a result of this, as I was scared and was defending my loved ones. I will not be placed in a household with small kids as I am pretty unpredictable. I have been kept away from kids in my current home, as sudden touches and jumping do scare me.
I also love canine companionship. Like a typical husky, I play rough and sometimes it could be loud. However, I am known to be comfortable with other dogs once I settle down. While I love going on adventure with you, I am also pretty flexible in the house, either indoor or outdoor. If you’re an outdoor person camping or enjoy the beaches, I will definitely be your new best friend! I am very vocal and enjoy either a group howl or communicate with you all the time, so a detached house would be ideal. I am house trained, but am not crate trained. I am, however, fine in the home for a full work day without getting into mischief.
I have never lived with a cat, but do display a prey drive when I go on a walk. Let's stick with a household without a feline friend to avoid any accidents. While I have never had any formal training, my family think I am actually quite intelligent! I know many commands like sit, stay, come, lay down and am always patient upon food time. I even walk well on leash, and respond to reminders to heel! I really am a good boy, I just need the right home please!
I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, and microchipped. I am ready to go home with you!
